Privacy in short

Who is responsible

This is the personal portfolio of Fabian Krumbholz. I am responsible for this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach me by email at info@krumbholz.de.

My photo

This site shows a photo of me. Like everything else on the site, it comes from this website, so showing it sends your data to no one else. It holds none of the hidden data a phone saves in a photo, such as where and when it was taken. Please do not use it anywhere else without asking me.

Hosting on GitHub Pages

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. in the USA. When you open a page, your browser sends your IP address and technical details, such as the browser you use and the time, to GitHub's servers. GitHub needs them to deliver the page, and logs and stores the IP address for security purposes. I have no access to these logs and do not use them.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in showing this website to you safely and reliably (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). GitHub transfers the data to the USA on the basis of its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For details, see the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

When you contact me

If you email or call me, I use your contact details and your message only to answer you, and I delete them once the conversation is over. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, such as GitHub or LinkedIn. Nothing is loaded from them until you click a link. Once you are on their website, their privacy rules apply.

Your rights

You have the right to know which data about you I process, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You may object to the processing and ask for your data in a portable format (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). To use these rights, email me.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one in the EU country where you live or work (Article 77 GDPR).

Accessibility

I want everyone to be able to use this site: with a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnifier. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How it was tested: every page was checked with axe, the automatic test behind the accessibility score of Chrome's Lighthouse, and looked at at phone and desktop width, in light and dark mode.

No barriers are known. Automatic tests cannot find every barrier, so if you meet one, please tell me.

Found a barrier? Email me at info@krumbholz.de, with the page and what got in your way. I will fix it, or send you the content in a form you can use.
